We deconstructed Quique Dacosta’s dishes to contextualize his work at Deessa within an art gallery setting.
“Deessa” refers both to the goddess of nature and creation, and to a natural space in Valencia, Spain — the Chef’s homeland. We deconstructed his dishes by starting from the ingredients, placing them within a fictional space surrounded by nature and creation.
This fusion of concepts generates a visual trompe-l’oeil, revealing the ingredients as a work of art in themselves.
